GARBAGE AND REFUSE COLLECTION |
Lansing's Public Works Department provides weekly residential garbage pick-up services for the Village.
Residents should place refuse in garbage containers with handles and a tight fitting lid having a capacity of 32 gallons or less. All grass clippings should be placed in a can not dumped on the ground. Compost bins must be in a caged-in area inside your yard.
The crews will take furniture and appliances with your normal garb age pickup; however, please call the Public Works Department at 708-895-7190 to arrange for a special pickup if you have items such as:
- Concrete
- Lumber
- Dirt
- Sod
- Stone
Please separate and pile the material. This type of cleanup may require a payloader and a dump trunk to haul it away. There may be a charge to cover dumping fees for this type of pickup which is in excess of normal household garbage.
(Large clean-up piles).
